Boston, MA Given a density limitation of 7 units of housing, our client sought to create a housing development primarily for the elderly. Our feasibility study for the project is organized around an outdoor patio as a collective space within the housing block, providing a shared, common public space that allows the residents to congregate together.
Within each unit, a defi ned, fixed core of services is surrounded by a series of flexible sliding panels that allow for multiple reconfigurations and flexibility of use, especially relative to hospice care and wheelchair accessibility.
